PhD student in Applied Mathematics · University of Málaga

ES

I am a PhD student in the PhD Programme in Mathematics at the University of Málaga since 2025 and a member of the EDANYA research group. My thesis is supervised by María de la Luz Muñoz Ruiz and Cipriano Escalante Sánchez, with Tomás Morales de Luna as my tutor.

My research focuses on well-balanced finite volume methods for two-dimensional hyperbolic systems with applications in fluid dynamics. I am currently developing a semi-implicit scheme for the two-dimensional shallow-water system.

I graduated in Mathematics from the University of Málaga, where I also completed a Master in Secondary Education Teaching and an MSc in Mathematics, with a master thesis on the Navier–Stokes equations. Before starting my PhD I worked as research staff in EDANYA on European and national research projects. I write my own scientific software in Python and C++.
